課程目標 |
An investment is the current commitment of money or other resources in exchange for future benefits, i.e. you sacrifice something of value now and expect to benefit from that sacrifice later. The investments industry evolved rapidly in the last two decades due to the development of investment theories, the design of new securities, and the creation of new trading strategies. This course will provide you with the background knowledge of the organization of various securities markets, will introduce you the principles of portfolio construction (e.g. the Portfolio Theory), and will survey the valuation and risk-management principles for bonds, stocks, or options (e.g. the CAPM, the Arbitrage Pricing Theory, and the Black-Sholes option pricing formula). Understanding the content of this course not only give you a sense to manage your wealth in the future but also build a solid foundation for more advanced courses. |
